Trump Sets Stage for Decisive Victory Over Mullahs: Finish The Job by Following “Unconditional Surrender” with “Free Iran”

WASHINGTON, D.C.—The Victory Coalition congratulates President Donald Trump on the successful strikes he ordered against nuclear targets in Iran and his short address to the Nation afterwards. He is to be commended for his decisive action and also for his congratulatory comments about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin “Bibi” Netanyahu: “We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before, and we’ve gone a long way to erasing this horrible threat to Israel. I want to thank the Israeli military for the wonderful job they’ve done.” The Trump-Netanyahu team has made possible a genuine and transformative peace in the Middle East.
What that will take now is the further step required for Israel to “finish the job” by ending Iran’s mullahocracy.
This goal should not be characterized as “regime change.” Such a characterization is inaccurate because the mission that must be completed if Israel and Judeo-Christian civilization are to achieve the victory that is required, will not hinge on whether the Israeli or U.S. government determine either a new form of government for Iran or its make-up.
Rather, the task at hand is to Free Iran. Israel’s purpose and a supportive Trump Administration’s must simply be to help create conditions whereby the people of Iran can liberate themselves from the enslavement to which they have been subjected. Then, they will determine who will rule them and how.
How that will be accomplished may well be messy. Israel and the United States should be willing to help – both by providing political and diplomatic support and by deterring the Chinese and Russians from trying to preserve in power the present regime’s dead-enders and/or otherwise fostering chaos for whomever emerges as the new leadership.
But as was true with the American Revolution, a determined, courageous and creative people can translate the opportunity given them to enjoy liberty with the help of a friendly foreign power into an important part of the Western civilized world. Playing such a supportive role, even without the guarantee of success – any more than the French had in 1777, is our mission.
At this point, as President Trump has said, the United States need not engage in further military action in Iran. Rather, President Trump and the United States must simply:
- Stop negotiating with, and thereby legitimating, the mullahs – with the predictable effect of suppressing the Iranian people’s willingness to take the very considerable risks of removing the regime from power, and
- Support Israel’s determination to “finish the job” by attacking directly what remains of the mullahocracy and the IRGC and other elements of the security apparatus that has violently kept it in power for the past 46 years.
